SSL encrypts the connection between your visitors and your website, shows the padlock in the browser, and helps your search ranking. It is free on every plan.
Before you start
Your domain (and www) must already point to our server, because the certificate authority checks this. See How to Point Your Domain.
Enable SSL
- Log in to your control panel at https://server.7mhost.com:8083.
- Open the Web tab and click the edit (pencil) icon next to your domain.
- Tick Enable SSL for this domain, then tick Use Let’s Encrypt to obtain SSL certificate.
- Also tick Enable automatic HTTPS redirection so visitors always use the secure version.
- Click Save. The certificate is issued within a minute.
Certificates renew automatically before they expire; there is nothing else to do.
